Recipe Monday - Baked Lemon Cod

My husband is Portuguese, and as such, really likes cod in a way I'll never understand. Here's a great recipe for the thick fish!

1 lb cod fish fillet
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon white pepper

Mix butter and lemon juice.
In another bowl, mix flour, salt and white pepper.
Dip fish into butter mixture; coat fish with flour mixture.
Place fish in ungreased square baking dish
Pour remaining butter mixture over fish; sprinkle with paprika.
Cook uncovered in 350 degree oven until fish flakes easily with fork, 25-30 minutes.

  1. Do your girls like this recipe? I didn't grow up eating fish and my husband doesn't like fish so I've never really cooked it much. But I want the girls to grow up eating fish and having it as a normal part of their diets so I'm always looking for kid-friendly recipes.

  2. Wedding cakes go back as far as ancient Rome and Medieval England. They are steeped in symbolism and even some superstition baked comfort food In the past few decades styles and trends have evolved, but all of them still wish the new couple "good luck" in a sweet way!
